Kennedy's 16 Month Check In

So I guess I am trying to age my baby faster than she needs to... all week I have been telling everyone that she is 17 months old, and I didn't realize that I am a month ahead until I sat down to write this post.  Oops!  Blame it on the mom brain!  Well... anyhow... Kennedy still isn't feeling 100%, but I am pretty sure we are on the up swing from this yucky bug that has been plaguing our house for the past month.

November has been lots of fun with Thanksgiving and our first real snow of the year.  We enjoyed a walk through Lights on the Lake and some great Black Friday shopping!

How Big Is Baby?
  • Kennedy is 20 pounds and change.  Her weight gain has tapered off, which is normal as her activity level increases and her appetite slows.
  • We are in winter wear now, all size 18 months and up.  Some of the 18-24 month tops/sweaters are a little big, but there is no point to buy any smaller since she will only grow.
  • Size 5 and 5/6 shoes.  The 5/6 slippers are a little big, but they are just to wear around the house so it's ok.  Her size 5 TOMS are getting small, but I am going to save the 6s for warmer weather.
  • Full time cloth diapering.  Smalls and one-sizes.  I did break out a few of her mediums, just to try on, but they don't get much use yet.

Development & Milestones
  • Running, running, running.  This kid doesn't walk anywhere any more.
  • She has been using the potty a lot this month.  She still will not tell us when she has to go, but if we ask her, she will answer.  We have had a few days with very few accidents, but it means putting her on the potty almost every hour.  We are still trying to get her ot tell us when she needs to go.
  • Her language development blows me away!  She signs almost 40 words and speaks about 25.  Kevin has done a wonderful job teaching and encouraging her signing and speaking.  She is becomming quite the little chatterbox.
  • The tooth count is up to 14 or 16 now.  It's hard to count, but she almost has a full set.  The molars finally broke through, and then a few more followed within a few days.  No wonder why she has been Miss Misery off and on... that's a lot of teeth to cut at once!

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing has been out saving grace this month.  Between the teething and being sick, nursing was the one constant I could count on to comfort her when nothing else worked.  What a wonderful, beautiful thing it is to be able to nurse and soothe your hurting little one.  I am so thankful for our extended nursing relationship.
  • The pump is long gone!  I am finally comfortable throughout a 12 hour shift and even up to 18 hours or so if need be.  It's amazing that I can go that long and be fine, then on my days off nurse around the clock if K needs it.  The nursing mama's body is a pretty cool thing.
  • K's diet has been so-so this month.  She has really enjoyed frozen fruit more than anything, because it is soothing on her sore gums.  She also loves popcorn (her special treat with daddy on mommy's work nights).

Sleep

  • Sleep has been about the same.  She still sleeping about 10 hours/night, but continues to wake once, sometimes 2-3 times/night.  One of these days she will sleep through the night.  Maybe.
  • Naps were ok.  She is still consistent with one nap/day, but she has started ot vary the time of that nap... I'm not a fan.  She used to go down somewhere between 11 and 1 for about 2-3 hours... now there are days she is ready to nap by 10am and other days that she has fought and fought and fought until 4pm.  Makes me crazy!  I am hoping to get on a more consistent nap schedule soon.

Mommy & Daddy Check In
  • It's hard to believe that we are getting ready to celebrate our second Christmas with our baby girl.  Just wow!
  • Finally, after 2 years without (not that I missed her), dear old AF showed up.  We are ready to start working on Baby #2.  :)  I will try to not update the gory details of our TTC journey, but I'm excited to at least cross the starting line and had to share.  :)
  • Otherwise... work is work and school is school.  We are both looking forward to planning a much-needed break in the spring.

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?

Kennedy's 15 Month Check In

Rolling right along at 15 months.   To say that time is flying would be an understament.  I swear I blink and *bam* another month has gone by.  The 15 month language explosion is in full force and since I wrote the post about Baby Signing, Kennedy has picked up at least 10-12 more words.  It is such a joy to be able to communicate with her and watch her discover her voice.  She did have a nasty bout of Coxsackie virus (hand, foot & mouth) that left her with a fever and blisters all over (her hands, foot and mouth go figure)... but she is feeling much better now.

How Big Is Baby?
  • Kennedy is definitely over 20 pounds now, we will find out exactly how much at her appointment tomorrow.
  • She is wearing whatever is left of her 12 month, but mostly 18 month clothing and a few 2T items.  T... for TODDLER... WOWZA!
  • Size 4 shoes are all too small now, which is a bummer because she had some really cute size 4 shoes.  Time to go shopping!
  • Full time cloth diapering. Size smalls still fit, but we are running out of snaps to move out.  The One sizes have plenty of room left to go.  She has also started peeing on the potty... a lot!  We may very well be out of cloth diapers within the next few months.

Development & Milestones
  • She walks and runs very well now.  She has also mastered climbing up and DOWN the stairs gracefully.  Better than me, probably.
  • Her language development never ceases to amaze me.  She is up to over 30 words signing and about 10 or so words verbally.  So fun!
  • The tooth count is still at 8... still no molars

Diet/Nursing
  • We are still nursing and love it!  I just love my sweet snuggles and nightly nursing sessions (when I'm not working) with baby girl.
  • Pumping is officially finished.  Not pleasant at first, but my body is getting the hint and the nights I work are getting more bearable.
  • Food-wise, Kennedy has definitely developed some favorites... french fries (or anything potato), frozen fruit, fruit snacks and sausage.  Her appetite has been so-so due to a nasty virus, but she still loves her food.

Sleep

  • Sleep has been pretty good, despite the yucky bug she fought off.  She is sleeping about 10 hours/night with a short nursing (or water when mommy is at work) break in the middle.  She always wakes up in a great mood with mommy, but when daddy has to wake her up early, she is Captain Cranky Pants.
  • Naps are good.  She is down to 1 nap a day and it is consistently between 2-3 hours.  She always wakes up smiling from her nap.  Love it!

Mommy & Daddy Check In
  • It's been a rough month for us.  I am fairly certain that there was not one day this month that we were all healthy.  Blah!  I will be thrilled when this funk leaves our house for good!
  • In other news, since I have completely cut out pumping, I am hoping my cycle will return soon and we can officially begin TTC #2.  We are excited, nervous and well... nervous., but we can't wait to have a little brother or sister for Kennedy to torture... I mean... play with and love.  :)

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?
  • We took Kennedy to the Zoo Boo this past Saturday.  She had a BLAST (and a pumpkin full of yummy candy didn't hurt either).  I will post some pictures of her adorable (ahem last minute) Halloween costume when I remember.  We will also be doing Trick-or-Treating at the mall tomorrow.
  • Cloth diapering is still going great!!

Kennedy's 14 Month Check In

It has been a GREAT month!  Kennedy is growing like a weed, learning so many new things.  We JUST got back (literally) from our awesome family vacation to the Outer Banks (more to come, along with pictures, on that later!), but we had an incredible time.  Kennedy loved the beach, as did Lucy.  We got to spend time with Gam Gam, Pappy and Uncle Mike.  It was just a fabulous week.  Kennedy is rocking this toddler thing and never ceases to amaze me.

How Big Is Baby?
  • Kennedy is 20, maybe 21 pounds now.
  • Before we left for vacation, we retired all of her summer outfits, except the ones we brought with us.  Those will {{sniffle}} be retired when we get home.  Her fall/winter clothes are 18 months- 2T and I'm sure she will fit into them easily when we get home.
  • Size 4 shoes for now, but her boots are a size 5.
  • Full time cloth diapering. Size smalls and one size- fully extended on the rise and out 2-3 snaps at the waist.  We did switch to size 3 disposables for the trip, mostly because we had a case to get rid of and weren't completely sure about the laundry situation in our rental house.  I'm glad we brought disposables because we had some issues with the washing machine mid-way through the week.  We are, however, VERY happy to be back in cloth tonight.  :)

Development & Milestones
  • Running all over the place.  This girl doesn't slow down for ANYTHING.
  • We went into the ocean and a swimming pool for the first time this past week.  She was a little unsure (and the pool was very cold) but she did really well.
  • She ate really well with utensils this month.  Her coordination is much better and she only dumps her bowl when she is finished and we aren't paying attention.
  • Her language is incredible.  She signs so much!  Let's see... dog (of course), milk (OF COURSE, lol), all done, please, bird (her new favorite), eat, water and I'm sure I'm forgetting some.  She is really curious and seems to enjoy learning new signs.  I think we might actually be at the beginning of the 15 month language explosion.
  • The tooth count is still at 8... still no molars
  • She did surprisingly well through the 6 hour car rides x4.  It is about 12 hours total from home to Nags Head, but we split the trip in half on the way down and back.  She hung out in the back seat with Lucy watching Despicable Me and staring out the window.  We had a few melt downs around hour 5 on all 4 legs, but otherwise she was an angel.  I couldn't believe it!

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing continues to go well for us.  I can tell she is starting to cut back (and I am encouraging) to a few times a day, but the nursing sessions last a little longer than they used to.  Either way, I still love these quiet moments with her.
  • Pumping is just about done.  I didn't even bring my big pump with us on vacation.  I did bring a small manual pump to use in case Kevin and I went out on a date night and I used it twice, but otherwise no pumping at all this week, which was nice!  I am planning to really work on cutting back/cutting out pumping sessions completely when we get back.  I don't plan to stop nursing, but this will help (hopefully) to start my cycle again so we can try for baby #2.  Here's to hoping!
  • I was able to donate 8 (YES 8!!!!) gallons of breast milk to the National Milk Bank.  I am so proud of myself and my boobies!!  :)  Read more about it here
  • BLW is pretty much finished, dare I say?  There isn't a thing this girl will not eat.  This week she tried shrimp, crab and even some hot salsa.  She eats anything and everything.  We are so proud!

Sleep

  • Sleep has been excellent!  While on vacation, she kept a great routine, falling asleep round 9 and waking up around 7 or 8.  Part of me was like "aaah!  Wake up at 7??  On vacation??" but at the same time, we were able to see so much and spend so much time outside because we woke up so early.  And honestly, by 9pm, I was ready for bed, lol!
  • Naps were pretty good.  She takes one nap a day now and it usually lasts anywhere from 2-3 hours.  She is pretty cranky when it is nap time, but always wakes up in a great mood!

Mommy & Daddy Check In
  • Another wonderful month for us.  Kevin's job is going really well and I was just offered a position in our emergency room as an RN.  I have always wanted to work in an ER and am thrilled about this new opportunity.  I'm not sure when I will be starting, but I am very excited!  Health and weight-wise, things are status quo.  We were able to enjoy lots of fun cardio this week with hiking and swimming, a welcome change from running running running earlier in the month.  Lol.

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?
  • Our major event this month was our vacation.  Otherwise, not a whole lot.  :)
  • Cloth diapering is still going great!!

Product Rave:
  • I LOVE my new necklace from BouBeads.  It is just beautiful and Kennedy loves to play with it.  It is designed from natural, baby-friendly materials so she can play/chew on it safely while she is nursing or while I am carrying her in her wrap.  It keeps her curious little fingers occupied and (more importantly) out of mommy's hair!

Any upcoming developments, milestones? What's next?
  • Next appointment will be 15 months on October 30.

Kennedy's 1 Year 4 Week Check In

I think it might be time to change to monthly updates.  Maybe.  Ok maybe next week.  ;)
We had a great week this week.  Lots of laughing and learning and loving.  We welcomed a sweet new baby girl into the family (Kevin's newest second cousin) named Lyla Elaine.  Tonight we will have some special visitors (a fellow loss mommy, Amy and her adorable family) and we will be enjoying a day at the fair with them tomorrow (you all remember how much I LOVE the fair x2, right?).  Our vacation countdown is dwindling... less than a month now!

How Big Is Baby?

  • Honestly, I'm not sure if she has gained any weight or not.  Lol!
  • Still mostly 12 month outfits with some 18 month tees.
  • Size 4 shoes
  • Full time cloth diapering. Size smalls and one size- fully extended on the rise and out 2-3 snaps at the waist

Development & Milestones
  • Walking all over the place, climbing stairs by just holding the wall or my hand and climbing on tables/chairs.
  • Still working with utensils.  She likes to play with them and sometimes uses them correctly.
  • She has been signing and talking up a storm this week.  She signs and says "milk" all the time and also has picked up "all done" (BEFORE throwing food on the floor... which makes mommy very very happy).
  • The tooth count is still at 8... I thought her molars were coming in, but now I'm not so sure.

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing is still going awesome.  I just love my little nursling.
  • Pumping is going well.  Still pumping once a shift.  I also had my blood draw for the Milk Bank this week.  Hopefully they will take my milk really soon!
  • BLW was great this week.  She ate lots of chicken that daddy made and some homemade humms sammies from mommy.  At the market yesterday, daddy bought her a dozen fresh peaches and she ate 2 (yes, that's right... 2!!) right away.

Sleep

  • Sleep has been good this week.  She sleeps really well, snuggled with daddy, overnight, usually waking once or twice to eat.  She is super cuddly with me and likes to nurse a few times during the night.
  • Naps were good this week.  On Friday she blessed me with a wait for it... wait for it... 3 hour nap!!

Mommy & Daddy Check In
  • Another great week... just counting down to our vacation!!

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?

Kennedy's 1 Year 3 Week Check In

We had a quiet week and an awesome weekend.  We decided, somewhat last minute, to drive out to Delaware to visit with my brother, Mike.  It's really not a bad drive, so we loaded up the dog and baby and headed out on Friday afternoon.  We got to enjoy the beach and boardwalk at Rehoboth with him on Saturday then headed home this morning.  It was so great to spend some time with Mikey and awesome to hang out at the beach.

How Big Is Baby?

  • No real change in height/weight.
  • Still mostly 12 month outfits with some 18 month tees.  Her 18 month swim suit fits perfectly!  Yikes!
  • Size 4 shoes
  • Full time cloth diapering. Size smalls and one size- fully extended on the rise and out 2 snaps at the waist

Development & Milestones
  • Walking all over the place, she is constantly on the move.
  • This week we worked some more with utensils.  Not much improvement, but we are still trying.  We also worked on dipping finger foods into different dips, like ketchup, ranch, mustard, hummus, tzaziki sauce, marinara, etc.  She is doing really well with it.
  • She really enjoyed playing in the sand and even practiced her dipping skills in the sand, dipping chips into the sand then eating them.  YUCK!
  • The tooth count is still at 8, but her molars are coming soon, I think.

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing is still going wonderfully.  She has 2 long nursing sessions- one in the morning and one at night.  In between she sort of snacks.  Maybe we are starting to cut back a little?  Maybe.
  • Pumping is going well.  I pump once at work during a 12 hour shift, mostly for my own comfort.  But I am able to pump about 15 ounces in one sitting.  My milk production is definitely not slowing down.
  • BLW was great this week.  She ate really well in Delaware and on our trip there/back.

Sleep

  • Sleep has been pretty good this week.  She napped really well in the car on the drive to/from and slept great at Mike's.  Still wakes once or twice in the middle of the night for a snack, then falls right back to sleep.
  • Naps were pretty good this week.

Mommy & Daddy Check In
  • We are doing pretty good.  Might possibly have some big changes coming up job-wise in the near future and some big decisions to make, but we are praying for fruitful opportunities and guidance.

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?
  • A trip to Delaware, a day at the beach oh and Kennedy's first time riding rides at an amusement park.  What a fun weekend!

Kennedy's 1 Year 2 Week Check In

It's been a pretty uneventful week.  After all of the commotion of K's big birthday party and having family in town for a week, having a "normal" week was kind of nice.  Going back to work after having a week off was not so nice.

How Big Is Baby?

  • Still in the 19-20 pound range and still super tall for her age.
  • Still mostly 12 month outfits with some 18 month tees
  • Size 4 shoes all the way.  This is a good thing because the selection for size 3s was pretty slim for walkers
  • Full time cloth diapering. Size smalls and one size- fully extended on the rise and out 2 snaps at the waist

Development & Milestones
  • Walking like crazy now.  Everywhere, all the time.
  • She has been really into books this week.  She picks them up, flips through them, yells at them and brings them to me to read.  She doesn't like to sit still long enough for me to read to her... maybe 2-3 pages at best... then she is off to find a new book.
  • We are starting to work with utensils.  She does not like to be fed, but will let me load a fork or spoon for her.  She plays with the food, taking it off the spoon or fork then puts it back on.  So, she doesn't quite get them yet, but it is good for her to play and learn.
  • The tooth count is still at 8, but her molars are coming soon, I think.

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing is great as always.  I have been encouraging more solid food during the day in the hopes that she will cut back on some of her nursing sessions.  Not so much.  But that's ok.  I am still just taking her lead.  This time is so precious.
  • Back to pumping this week.  Things are also moving along with my milk donation application.  Hopefully I will have everything in place soon so I can send my milk off to the Milk Bank.  Can't wait!
  • BLW was good this week.  Kennedy enjoys a wide variety of foods, but always prefers her french fries.

Sleep

  • Sleep has been ok this week.  Kevin said she had a few rough nights when I first went back to work, but she is getting back into the swing of things now.
  • Naps were ok this week.  She naps great when I get to snuggle with her, but still not a fan of napping on her own in her crib.  Some day.  :)

Mommy & Daddy Check In
  • Mommy is back to work this week, blah!  It is a bit tough switching back to an overnight schedule, but we will make it work.
  • Daddy is doing great and back to being Mr. Mom-and-Dad on the nights I work.  He kind of rocks.  (Have I said that before?)

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?
  • Not much new this week... just getting back into our normal routine.
  • Cloth diapering is still going great!!

Product Rave:
  • Snuggle Puppy book... it's her fav.

Any upcoming developments, milestones? What's next?
  • Next appointment will be 15 months in October.

Kennedy's 1 Year, 1 Week Check In

Kennedy started off her first year of being a one year old with a fun week with Nana and Grandpa.  Kevin's parents and brother headed back to Pittsburgh on Monday morning, but my parents were able to stay and visit for the whole week.  We took a trip to the zoo and to the splash park.  Kevin and I even got to sneak in not one, but TWO date nights.  Yesterday, we took Lucy to the local Canine Carnival and they both had a blast!  It was an awesome week.

How Big Is Baby?

  • Official weight is in... and I totally forgot it (mother of the year, thank you!).  I will check my paperwork later and update.  It was 19 pounds and something.  So not the 20 pounds I was guessing, but close.
  • Can't remember the height either, but I do know she was "long and lean, like a bean" according to Dr. Rufa
  • Clothing wise, she is in mostly 12 month clothes with some 18 month tee-shirts
  • Shoes... she is into her size 4 sandals comfortably now.  We also went to Target and picked out a pair of size 4 sneakers.  Love her chunky little Fred Flinstone feet, but finding shoes to fit them is not an easy task.
  • Full time cloth diapering. Size smalls and one size- fully extended on the rise and out 2 snaps at the waist

Development & Milestones
  • She is walking and trying to run.  She is very fast.
  • She is getting a little crazy with the climbing... onto her picnic table, onto the couch, onto the dog, into her wagon.
  • The count is still at 8, but her molars are coming soon, I think.

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing is wonderful.  This past week was World Breastfeeding Week and we certainly did our share of celebrating.  She has been comfort nursing a lot at night lately, but I love our snuggles.
  • No pumping this week, but I do have an awesome update on my milk donation... I finally made it through the first round of screening and my donor kit is on the way.  Next, I will send in a cheek swab, blood sample and freezer test.  My OB and K's pediatrician will have to clear us both... and THEN I can donate my milk!  So excited!
  • BLW was better this week.  Baby girl LOVED Nana's teriyaki chicken and ate a ton.  She also enjoyed pancakes, eggs, toast, lots of fruit and veggies and even some corn on the cob.

Sleep

  • Sleep has been good this week, all things considered.  Mommy was actually home at night all week, so we got lots of snuggles in.  She did wake a few times each night, but after a quick milk snack, she was back to sleep without any issues.
  • Same story with naps. Not her normal routine, but we made it work.  The only really rough day was yesterday when we went to the Canine Carnival.  She was tired and cranky, which is unusual for her.

Mommy & Daddy Check In
  • We are doign great!  I was on vacation all week and it.was.awesome!  I got to eat dinner at dinner time with my family.  I got to sleep at night time like a normal human being.  It really made me miss working a normal schedule.
  • Kevin had a busy week.  My dad did lots of work around the house and yard, so Kevin helped out when he got home from work.  He was exhausted by the end of the week, but the house looks much better!
  • We enjoyed a date night on Wednesday with dinner at Empire then dessert at Bittersweet.  On Friday, we went to our friends' wedding at Belhurst Castle in Geneva.  We had a blast!

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?
  • Well... besides turning O-N-E on Monday...  :)
  • Kennedy had her one year check up on Tuesday.  She is a happy, healthy little girl.   Physically, she is growing beautifully.  Developmentally, she is meeting her milestones perfectly!  She did have a blood draw that really wasn't too terrible (she barely flinched for the finger poke, but was not a fan of having to sit still while the nurse squeezed her finger) and a few shots, which she didn't like.  All in all, it wasn't too bad.
  • Cloth diapering is still going great!!

Kennedy's 52 Week Check In

52 weeks.  One year.  What a crazy, messy, beautiful year it's been.  Technically, her birthday is tomorrow... but she is already asleep, dreaming big girl dreams.  We had a wonderful day today, celebrating her birthday with family and friends.  Once everything settled down and Kevin and I kissed our little bitty baby girl goodnight, we laid in bed and flipped through old pictures, reminisced about that magical day, one year ago, when our lives changed forever.  It's amazing how much your heart can grow in one year, heck in that one moment when she took her first breath.  And just when I think my heart can't possibly grow and love any more... I catch a glimpse of my sweet angel sleeping and I am proven wrong once again.  Gosh I love her.

How Big Is Baby?

  • Still guessing around 20 pounds... appointment on the 30th to find out for sure.
  • Clothing wise, she is in 9 and 12 month and a few 18 month tee-shirts
  • Shoes... she actually wore shoes once or twice this week.  Her size 3s fit ok once I get them on, but boy is it a struggle to cram her little Fred Flinstone foot in there.
  • Full time cloth diapering.  Size smalls and one size- fully extended on the rise and out 2 snaps at the waist

Development & Milestones
  • She walks like a pro now.  It's amazing.  One step here, one step there... then all of a sudden she is off and running.  She is a walking machine now!
  • She is also learning to climb... up onto the couch, onto her picnic table, onto anything she can.  Babyproofing part 2 will be underway this week
  • 4 teeth on top now and 4 on the bottom now, I think she is working on her molars... grrrreat.

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing is great!
  • Pumping at work last week was fine.  No pumping this week for me!!  Yay vacation!
  • BLW was ok this week.  She has been really active and doesn't like to sit still long enough to get a good meal in.  I'm hoping this is just a phase and I will have my little munching machine back soon.

Sleep

  • Sleep has been pretty good this week.  With family in town and the party today, her normal routine has been off a bit, but she is flexible (thank goodness) and tends to just go with the flow.
  • Same story with naps.  Not her normal routine, but she is ok with it.

PP Mommy Check In

  • This will be my last PP Mommy check in.  My weight has been steady for several months and I don't see that changing until we start working on baby #2.  I am still working on my workout routine, but plan to stay as active as possible.
  • Weighed in at 119 this morning.
  • *For reference, my highest pregnancy weight was 162, my pre-pregnancy weight was 130 and my goal weight is 125*

How Is Daddy?
  • Kevin had busy week.  He worked and then came home and was a slave to house cleaning all week.  It paid off and the house looked awesome!
  • Weight-wise, he is still hanging around 200.

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?
  • Kevin's parents and brother, Chad, came in Friday night and will be leaving tomorrow morning.  My parents arrived this morning and are staying through the week.  It is so wonderful to have a house full of family.  We are truly blessed!
  • Cloth diapering is still going great!!

Product Rave:
  • Tie... Kennedy's new water table was a hit with her and Isaiah today... as well as her new Radio Flyer wagon.  Love them both!!

Any upcoming developments, milestones? What's next?
  • One year well visit is Tuesday as well as a one year post partum check up for me.
  • This coming week, we are planning on a trip to the zoo and another trip to the splash park.  Can't wait!

Kennedy's 51 Week Check In

One more week.  One more week.  Oh my gosh!  One more week until my sweet little baby girl turns O-N-E!!!  I am going to try to soak in this last week the best that I can (in between working and party prep) because time is just moving way to fast.

How Big Is Baby?

  • My best guess is that she is 20 pounds.  Can't wait for the official weigh-in on the 30th
  • Clothing wise, she is in 9 and 12 month and a few 18 month tee-shirts
  • Shoes?   Meh... it's summer.  Who needs 'em?
  • Full time cloth diapering.  Size smalls and one size- fully extended on the rise and out 2 snaps at the waist

Development & Milestones
  • She is walking much faster, even trying to run, it seems.  Aaaah!
  • She is working on climbing up onto the couch, but uses Lucy as a step ladder (poor dog).  Once on the couch, she tries to climb up onto the back of it.
  • 4 teeth on top now and 4 on the bottom now.

Diet/Nursing
  • Nursing is awesome.  I can't believe we are almost to our one year nurse-aversary with no end in sight.  Love our nursing time together.
  • Pumping at work is fine... I got a replacement part in, so we are back in business!
  • BLW was great this week. She enjoyed french fries (god, this kid is obsessed with french fires, much to mommy's dismay), chicken nuggets, quessadillas, smoothies, veggies, fruits and ice cream sammies (her other fav)

Sleep

  • Sleep has been great this week.  Daddy says bed times have been pretty good and she is only getting up once at night to eat.
  • Naps were pretty good this week.  I'm hoping this coming week goes well because I have to work 3 overnights in a row.

PP Mommy Check In

  • This week was another awesome week.  I love summer!  I got a few runs in, I'm hoping to get some nice long runs in next week when my parents are in town.
  • Still around 118-119.  Feeling really good about myself this week though.
  • *For reference, my highest pregnancy weight was 162, my pre-pregnancy weight was 130 and my goal weight is 125*

How Is Daddy?
  • Kevin had an awesome week.  He is almost finished with our new deck and has earned himself a killer tan in the process of doing it.
  • Weight-wise, he is still hanging around 200, having a tough time breaking that mark, but he will get there.

Any appointments, visitors or outings? Anything else new?
  • On Monday, we drove out to Geneva and enjoyed a day at Seneca Lake State Park.  They have an awesome little splash park there and Kennedy (and mommy and daddy) had a blast!  We played there for a while then had a little picnic.  On our way home, we stopped at Club 86 Bagels & Cakes and enjoyed a little trip down memory lane with a slice of our wedding cake.  Delicious!
  • Nothing really exciting this week.  More party planning and prep.  Counting down to the big day and excited to see our families and friends.
  • Cloth diapering is still going great!!

Any upcoming developments, milestones? What's next?
  • Birthday countdown... ONE MORE WEEK!!!  This time next week we will be partying it up with our family and friends.
  • Kevin's parents will be coming into town on Friday night and my parents will arrive on Saturday.
